My first attempt at shooting insects

Love the bokeh! A tighter crop (possibly vertical) might place a larger emphasis on the insect, if that's your main subject

That's a cracking good first attempt, it should keep you going onwards and upwards with results like that.

Thanks Adam. I was trying to follow the 1/3rd rule to have the flower and the insect at one of the 1/3rd lines. But I see how vertical crop here would change the composition to emphasize more on the insect.

Frankly, I was drooling all over the beautiful bokeh and wanted to include it in the photo.
