Wedgetailed Eagle

Wedgetailed Eagle

I've been closer to a Wedgetailed Eagle before, but not when I had a suitable camera handy. In hindsight I should have climbed the bard wire fence to get closer to this bird, but I wasn't that keen at the time. K3 with DA*300 and HD DA 1.4x TC.

Great picture. What a strong profile & with beautiful detail in the plumage.

That beak almost looks to big for his head. Great detail.

Until I pixel peeped on these photos, I didn't realise how complicated this Eagle's beak is!
