What is interesting is that the 70mm images I took fit the location better than the 40 did. Alouette Lake is a pretty wide open space so the 70 worked at getting the right view and the detail to accompany it.

Nice view and composition but unless it was taken at night it seems really dark.
If you don't mind I played with it in Photo Shop and here are the results. Maybe it's just my tired old eyes.
