I agree with that,
Grew up mostly in the DC area, in the '70s, remember vividly having a captive bird brought into a class room and being told it was unlikely we would ever see them in the wild. Silent Spring and all that. Chesapeake Bay was a mess at that time, still is not in great shape, it was the prime habitat for the eagles and ospreys in that area.
Now living in the Seattle area, and see them regularly, even see them from the 9th floor of my office tower, looking over Elliot bay, amongst all the freighter and ferry traffic.
Even though I see them several times a week now, it's a thrill every time. A reminder that there is still a wild world out there.

Good you got the eyes and head sharp, but I can't figure out why the wingtips are so soft at f/18? Did you do something in processing?
