When you're selling your stuff at the craft shows, it almost always dose. IN fact I'm not sure IQ as defined on the forum counts for much of anything anywhere, but on the forum. I've seen people walking out of the Algonquin Arts Centre with prints of dubious technical merit, that were yet still fantastic images. An owl in flight just over a snowy meadow claws outstretched reaching no doubt for a mouse or mole. People just get out their wallet. They don't care about the slightly soft focus. This is one of those images. It could be a lot softer and stile a great image. What would more sharpness add?

Technical IQ is not the same as Image Quality, when Image Quality is talking about the desirability of the image.

You didn't ask.

My stock line should be "if you didn't get great images with crappy lenses, buying better lenses won't help much."

Another should be " A great lens with a great photographer who understands how to use it, is a wonderful thing."
Most people leave out the "'great photographer" part when they look at that equation.

But back to the OP, that's a great image, and because of that, you have many options, you can soften it in software like the watercolour profile is photoshop or you can heavily sharpen it for a different effect. Because of the composition, you have something to play with if you choose.

Somehow I read IQ a.k.a intelligence quotient, and yep, agreed with that.
Cuteness always wins. Anytime, anywhere.
Beautiful picture, makes me smile, so who cares about any IQ-s.
