Whistling kites

Thanks for that, hoping to get the 50-500 soon, sometimes the 200mm is a little short to get those great shots

all really great shots. #3 takes no prisoners for sure.

Based on plumage, eye colour, feet/leg colour, and prey, it looks like an Osprey to me.

Hey mate, My trusty K3 with a sigma 70-200mm 2.8, looking forward to giving the 50-500 ago soon as get enough money together

That's what I was thinking too.

Whistling kites are smaller, darker, have different prey, different habits: Whistling Kite | BIRDS in BACKYARDS

Great photos though. The osprey is harder to find than whistling kites.
