Nice lighting on the first one Jimbo, maybe crop some off the bottom of the second one so that you don't have that line going across the centre of the shot.

Very nice......I REALLY like the first one and agree with Gary about the cropping on the second one. Both are really nice shots...

Thanks guys. Will try the crop. This was shot with my 12-24 which I am still trying to get use to... Only shot 3-4 pictures with this lens. Finding the foreground needs to be thought about a lot more then most lenses... appreciate the feedback though.. Cheers JIMBO

I like them both Jimbo. The 2nd one looks familiar yet I can't place where it is, care to tell me so I don't stay up all night wondering?

Jimbo, on second look you have lost a liitle bit of the cloud reflection about a third of the way in from the right. Personally I would now crop just a little from the top to even it up.
That way you will also have cloud in each of the top corners. Not being picky (well maybe) but it's a really nice picture and I would want to make it as good as I could.

Ajuett, this was shot just outside of Vernon near Spallumcheen Golf Coarse.. I want to go back and shot this again later in the day and early in the morning.. Being a traveling salesman, I get to see some interesting places. Once I shoot this again, I will post the shots... JIMBO

Nice Jimbo, I like 'em both. I'm partial to backlit green leaves as you can see from my avatar.

I have another suggestion re: composition if you're going back. I'm not sure if the shore is just out of view on the left, but I it is, you might have some success including it in the shot. Sometimes it works for me to have the near shore wrap around to the far shore in a continuous curve - just something to look at.
