Three from todays (unexpected) model shoot
Posted By: little laker, 07-13-2008, 12:19 AM

I was enjoying the day and was suddenly asked if I could do a model shoot of a friend, his daughter, and a friend of hers.

The problem here was I had left all my camera gear locked in my cars trunk, a few miles away.
However he had his Nikon system, so I did the first 2/3's of the shoot using his system.
(They're still in his camera, and I haven't had the time to even look at them yet)
Before we could make it back to my car.

It was dark then, so I grabbed out my Sigma, and used a remote flash for these ones.

His daughter Kami

My friend Darwin, being a bit of a goof

And Kami's friend.

I just loved that look

If your wondering why the sunglasses look the same, They all 3 borrowed my shades for the pic's.

Both these girls are natural models, and I'll hopefully have the chance to work with then again.

I think it worked well, having to use the flash. Kami looks like she has real attitude.

Thanks Gary,
She has got to be the most natural model I've seen. She does have a fair amount of practice with her dad, which must help.
I'll hopefully get a chance to post some of the Nikon pic's next weekend.
I'll be pretty busy until then, and probably won't be able to process them.

It was interesting working with a Nikon for the first time.
I prefer the controls, of both Pentax and Sigma, however his Nikon is still a nice camera.

I really like that last shot. Then again, I'm a big fan of close-up portraits. Landscape orientation works well there too...
