A Fine Summers Day...
Posted By: Kerrowdown, 05-08-2016, 02:09 AM

This was supposed to be a 21 degrees C and sunny...

Outside the front of the house, in the rain, 9 degrees C at 0952 for this image, just let me tell you, the "Dehaze" filters in LR and PS don't cut it... I wonder if there's a "Sunny" filter somewhere I've not found yet.

I was looking for something to submit into the "World Pentax Day" images, but it's just way too depressing.

But it's a fine day to kill the English...

At any rate, hopefully you've got that composition ranged for a brighter day. Speaking of which, how are you finding the K-1's OVF with that fast glass?

Delightful is probably a good word, very reminiscent of the old LX days.

Excellent, I noted from your "tortured tree" shot that unless there were a lot of "spray and pray" outtakes you were hitting focus (very) wide open.

Not guilty your Honour, just years of doing it, long before autofocus had even been invented. The K1 viewfinder is really good, big and bright, plus the green hexagon thingy seems to give a pretty accurate indication too.

On some of the close up stuff I've been playing about with this focus peaking malarky, my initial findings to that seem pretty good.

It's called Queensland, sunny one day perfect the next, if it isn't raining, hot and humid, cold and dry, oh did I just do a lot of damage to our tourist trade.

Okay if how you describe this as summer for Scotland, then you nailed the shot.

Could do a PP challenge with this photo to find out! I think it's definitely possible

What to show me a "Sunny" filter somewhere that I've not found in LR and PS?

If you select the sky you can apply a yellowish gradient overlay, then just photoshop in a sun from another pic and you'll be in business :P

Looks like an image to illustrate the opening of a thriller.

I assume you were kidding, as there's typically more difference between cloudy / foggy and sunny than appearance of sun and coloration of scene.
