I went to Korea for a few weeks and now I am in the Philippines. I will go over to Palawan pretty soon. Hopefully I can get some good shots over there. This is not Palawan though...it's a neighboring island to the one I am staying on now...about an hour from Palawan. I kind of went exploring some today so I just hopped a mini bus and then took a boat to get to the island... then I took this other boat once I got there...and so on and so forth...

Nice one. Luck may play a small role but the photographer plays a bigger one.

Thank you! I have been trying to practice a lot since I got into photography. I read a bunch of books and I would experiment and practice, practice, and more practice....

But I was saying in jest that 'it was my lens!'... kind of poking fun at the people who obsess over that stuff...LOL

What an arresting photograph: composition, exposure, PP and . . . . most of all. . . . . mood. A real accomplishment.

I've checked this photograph out a number of times...great composition as others have mentioned, but I particularly like how the boat seems to be flying over the water...suspended just a bit above the watery surface.

The boat seems to be flying because the water was clear and really aqua blue. Underwater I had about 100 feet or so of visibility. It got a little less later as the wind picked up... but also with the boat in between two cliffs there was a lot of shadow but a beam of light was hitting there and it made the water look like it was glowing. Sort of like a swimming pool at night...
