Front deck robin
Lens: Pentax HD DA 55-300 WR Camera: Pentax K S2 ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/1000s Aperture: F5.8

I caught this guy as he was collecting his thoughts after thunking into our front river. Given that I had to shoot through a window screen, I'm pretty happy with it. A tree trunk behind him creating a dark background helped.

Very nicely done. It appears as though your little friend needs to be potty trained. )

Thanks for some great photos.

He begs to differ: the mess was there before he was! But thank you.

Very nice indeed Sarah.

It's always a shock when a bird hits your window. Good thing this one seems alright.

You could lighten up the first one - the whole image looks a bit underexposed on my monitor. If you shot in RAW it will come up very nicely. You could increase the exposure on the whole image, but the better way would be to raise the shadows and mid-tones while leaving highlights alone.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I should've added in the original that this was straight out if camera. I usually shoot RAW + JPEG but had switched to JPEG only for softball game pictures that I wasn't going to keep, and hadn't yet switched back. Argh!

Love these. The light on the second one is so darn good. The first is a little dark for sure but it kind of gives it a bit of mystery. Well done Sarah.

Nice shots! I don't see many postings with the K-S2 but I love mine. I see that you chose the Pentax zoom, I am using the Sigma 18-300 and am very happy with it ( it is heavy and large tho).
