When Disney Looked To Norway
Lens: HD-DA 16-85mm Camera: Pentax K30 Photo Location: Norway, Trondheim

Disney Corporation found this building so interesting that they are building a copy in Florida. It is in connection with their "Frost" konsept.

Very nice photos. How old is that building? Could we see more of the setting the building is in?

Very nice shot. And it looks like the building is 199 years old.

Is the 'green roof' intentional or just old shakes? Nice building.

Thanks OldGeaser. The building was originally built at Oppdal in 1817, a valley 120km from Trondheim, and moved to Trondheim and the museum area in modern time. I went to the museum one hour before closing so I have to go back and shoot more.

Yes it is intentional. It was very common in older times to use turf on the roofs with a layer of birch cortex under to prevent water to come in.
