I could not say anything less than has already been said. I just love these birds, they are so sleek looking and so intelligent. Their eyes are so captivating.

A million thanks. A real joy to view.

Love how the Little Eagle stands out from the background. Also colors of subject and background work extremely well together.

Great pix....hard to choose a favourite...but # 2 is a standout. The portrait with 'shoulders' and alert, 'questioning' look is exceptional.

The bokeh makes the eagle 'pop' . I see you used the 55-300 lens. I have one and think it is an underrated lens. I've got some very sharp pictures from this 'consumer' lens.

Great shots, but I'm getting a strong magenta cast to both images, I just quickly tweaked the WB and got these, what do you think?

That said... I don't actually know what colours these birds actually are, so perhaps I'd best shut my mouth and apologise now.

I can see what you mean but I consider the colours are accurate for the lighting conditions - heavy shade with mottled side/backlighting through foliage. Your treatment more or less shows how they would look in brighter conditions. Thanks for the comments!

Stunning! I think I prefer the original colors, at least in the first.
