That dog is a Pit bull-Dalmatian-Lab cross and the most gentle (and lazy) dog that I have ever met.

Thank you and yes that is the lens, some were taken with Sigma 50-500 (Bigma)
Originally posted by Sailor Wow, Heinrich - sharp and crisp to a fault. They've got that Lohman touch.
I've never gotten this sort of performance from my 55-300 except at shorter focal lengths - I don't use a tripod so I'm guessing the fault is with the goofus behind the camera!
Jer
Thank you Jer, you are too kind
As for tripods, a bought a decent one a number of years ago and if all else fails I'll use it. Most of the time I just hand hold but if I can find a place to put a beanbag (actually buckwheat hull, it's a lot lighter) down that works pretty good.
Originally posted by normhead Very nice Heinrich, I swear watching those birds is better than television. And if you get a nice capture even now and then, that's bonus.
Thank you Norm and yes, it is way more rewarding than watching TV.
