Thanks for looking. Well, the 14mm is good but big and heavy (compared to the pancakes). I don't get to use it that much but will make an effort to use it more often - perhaps when it isn't as cold! Can't swap lenses with gloves on! Brrbrrbrrbrr...

Nice, especially first two. 14mm definitely is lovely. 21mm is so cramped, almost keyhole-looking in comparison

Can't wait to get real wideangle myself, 17mm is not wide enough for me. But I guess it won't happen for another month or two. Meanwhile I'll just come and marvel at random wideangle pictures here. Do keep posting more.

Thanks for your comments. Sounds like you should be considering the Sigma 10-20mm? A friend of mine has it and is very pleased with it. Otherwise, both the DA 14mm and DA 12-24mm are great but both are more expensive than the Sigma wide-angle zoom.

All are nice, but numbers 5, 6 & 7 do it the most, for me. The squirrel looks as if he touched something just a little "live", doesn't he? .

Thanks for commenting! Yepp, that little squirrel was the highlight of my day out. I've wanted to catch some wildlife since I first got into DSLR's but didn't capture much with the istDS that were good enough to keep. But the SR feature in the K10D helped me get sharp results with trembling fingers in the cold - and the squirrel helped by deciding to sit still and watch me in stead of running away like all his/her friends did! It makes me long for a longer zoom like the Sigma 135-400...

That squirrel with the punk hairdoo is the funniest and his expression makes the shot.
The boat on the ice filled river tell me a lot about the local temperatures, even more so than the rest of the shots.
