Yes, it's a Caddy, probably a '54 or maybe a '53. The fins didn't get gigantic until about '57. My dad had a '55 ragtop, which looked similar to this one, except with slightly bigger fins and bigger "bullets" in front. I've never seen one this color before - nice shot!

1955 Cadillac Series 62 'Coupe de Ville'. The color is either stock or this example is pictured elsewhere on the Internet.

Pretty cool car. If you walk around it you won't see a gas cap or filler cover. Between the taillight (red part) and the backup light (white part) is a small round reflector. It's visible in your second pic. If you push the reflector on the left side, the taillight pops up and reveals the gas cap and filler spout under the taillight.

My younger brother referred to them as 'boobies' on my grandmother's Caddy.

One of my favorites. Probably 51-52. You can tell by looking at the tail light glass. They stamped the year on it. The Cadillacs all looked pretty similar from 1950-1953.

Here's a Caddy cruising around with the tail up.

A close-up.

Cool - that was how you accessed the fuel fill IIRC. My dad had a '55 that worked the same way.

Ah..when I was much younger my family was not in the 1% (still ain't). One of these Caddies was the family car and I remember how embarrassed I was to be seen in such an old uncool barges.......
I'd love to be seen in one of them now.

You're closest. It's a '53. Well spotted.

Most specifically, it's a 1953 Series 6237 Coupe de Ville. (Most people just call it a "series 62".)
It's very nearly identical to the '52 and '54 model year, but '52 had a 3-piece back window. '53 was the first year with a single back window. '53 was also the first year with 12 volt electrics. '54 had slightly different park light trim. '55 had more substantial body changes.

And, one more thing: That was the smallest car Cadillac made that year. All the other models were longer!
