Shawfest 2016
Posted By: slowpez, 05-24-2016, 09:47 PM

My husband loves to drag me to events like this. Six hours of standing, craning my neck, looking at airplanes. At least we had lots of cloud cover and even a light shower. I did get a glimpse of another Pentaxian but didn't get a chance to talk to her. I do love this lens though and it did everything I needed it to do.

Great shots. The framing on the second one is amazing. For the third, I'd crop as much as you can without losing too much sharpness.
Don't be embarrassed by how many shots you took. We are fully enjoying them.

That's an outstanding series, Susan! Hard to pick a favourite, to ge honest.
No doubt the 4/60-250 zoom is simply excellent for many ocasions, and you know how to use it!

I will give your crop suggestion a go. Thanks for taking the time to make the suggestion.

I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it. Seems to be a missed vocation, I wish I had half your proficiency.

Thank you for sharing these

When I do that with my wife she calls it a decision to love. Then she proceeds to take better shots than I do!

One thing I like about shooting the same events as her is that we definitely see things differently.

great shots, love the A10's - really miss having these in the UK as they were such a frequent site in the skies over East Anglia where I live

Glad to help. I use spot for birds too and almost anything that moves faster than me which is most things.

My husband and I do the same thing. He sees things much different than I do. He has the better eye too.

We spent three years at RAF Bentwaters. My husband was in aircraft maintenance. Lived in the small village of Yoxford, which has some of the nicest people in all of England. Sure loved the country and miss it. Maybe we will get to go back someday.
