Lens: Smc PENTAX-DA*60-250mm F4 ED [IF] SDM Camera: K-3 Photo Location: Sumter, SC

My husband loves to drag me to events like this. Six hours of standing, craning my neck, looking at airplanes. At least we had lots of cloud cover and even a light shower. I did get a glimpse of another Pentaxian but didn't get a chance to talk to her. I do love this lens though and it did everything I needed it to do.

Here are a few more. I am ashamed to admit how many photos I took but a girl has to do what a girl has to do to keep occupied.

Thank you both for your kind comments. Much appreciated. The lens is fairly new and hasn't gotten much use but I am thinking it will make a great walk around lens. I was tempted to take the 300 with the TC to the airshow and am glad I didn't. This lens gave me so many more options.

My eyes, my eyes - I am seeing double !

Looks like your bird shooting (those with feathers) keeps you in good stead. You also kept hubby happy, what else could you wish for.

Great shots Susan. It really shows that we do have an excellent camera system in Pentax.

These are simply spectacular, Susan - very impressive!

Knowing you were the poster and before opening the thread, I looked at the thumbnail example through still-half-asleep, bleary eyes and thought, "that's a funny looking bird." Seems you can catch anything zipping through the air with ease.

Again, Super Job.

Awesome...way beyond my skills as of yet! All perfectly framed, but I'm going with #4 as a quirky choice for best-in-show.

I can't fault the camera but the woman behind it has system failure quite often.

Thanks Jer. I will secretly admit that I love to watch the Thunderbirds. We haven't seen them in six years so it was fun. Please don't tell hubby.

Ha! My favorite as well. I managed a series of shots of him flying up the contrails and shooting out the top but this one is the one I liked the best.
