Wall Street (Tri-X Reprise)
Lens: Pentax-M 50mm f/1.7 Camera: Pentax MX Photo Location: Lower Manhattan ISO: 400

The most annoying thing about shooting around Nassau and Wall Street is the Equinox and TJ Max flags (yes, there's a TJ Max on the corner of Nassau and Wall). I'm sure a way exists to "erase" the text on the flag, but I don't know how and, besides, manipulations such as that rather contradict the ethos of odophotography.

Film: Tri-X 400
Developer: D-76, 1:1, 10 min
Camera: Pentax MX (my new favorite; though the postman is bringing an LX, so we will see how those two compliment one another in my bag).

I keep returning to the 50mm for street/flaneur photography. I like the efficiency of the framing, though it is more difficult to focus.

You should go the large-and-in-charge route and start rolling with a 67II. Otherwise, as I mentioned, I'm digging the normal FL, if only for how it seems to space your "secondary characters" around the frame.

I think if I go 6x7 it will be a Rollei, just because they look so damned cool. I like the normal FL too. There is a sense of "intentionedness" about it, as opposed to random snaps of folks taken at wide angles and cropped. We've all been there. It's stilly and artless.

Thank you! It is part of a series I am working on from that perspective, looking south on Nassau.
