I had to tune it up slightly in Lightroom but nothing too extraordinary.
Finding the light is the key to the whole thing. Seriously. Having balanced light....oh yes.... IE no blown out backgrounds with a perfectly lit foreground etc...
As I have learned more about photography I am slowly learning to see things differently and what to look for.
Also I always strive to never crop. The above is the full frame, I don't even think I had to straighten it (if so it was just a little bit). Basically I walk around with my flashy digital camera pretending that it's a film camera and I try to get it right the first time. Doesn't always work, but I am getting better at it.
