Little damselfly
Lens: SMC Pentax-D FA 100mm F2.8 Macro WR Camera: K-3 Photo Location: Utrecht

The first I got in front of my lens this year, not as close as I hoped but working on and experimenting with a DIY 2:1 150-175mm solution that can be used in the field. Hopefully that will give some extra reach or lager magnification.

Thank you, I wish I could take credit for that but it was an additional bonus from mother nature

Very well done - focus as well as composition - some great lines here!


PS - We have plenty of "dragons & damsels" out and active here in East Tennessee. Will have to post some photos later...

I tend to use a low F stop if I can get the POF right because I like smooth background as well. Glad to hear we share that, thank you for your comment.

Three things that made me smile when I looked at this picture, I got the subject sharp at F5.6, the background and the out of focus foreground that worked out. No real stars in this photo It kind of all came together. Thank you for your kind words really appreciated coming from you sir, I always look at your pictures in detail to improve mine.

Nice shot...Looks like a painting.
One of my Favorite lenses every time I put it on I have trouble taking it off.
