Looks like a fascinating place - and some great perspectives on it. Especially enjoyed the sepia toning on #1, and the "through the window" shots.

Nice shots. The contrails make an interesting contrast with the subject.

Yes, very harsh winters so it is lovingly maintained as a ghost town. If they didn't work to preserve it a bit, it would all fall down.

Sorry to get political but those are not contrails but are chem trails. Their spraying our beautiful skies with chemicals. Anyway these are very inspiring shots.

I didn't know that they were spraying chemicals. Good grief. I grew up in a rural farming community so was regularly sprayed but I didn't know that was happening in the Sierras.

Cool shots, I like Bodie too, your first and third photo I like the most. How were you able to get inside for #3 and #5? I've been to Bodie a few times but getting inside never seemed an option...

Really? What kind of chemicals are these? What is "their" objective?

Hi -- #3 was from the back of one of the houses - it was basically one wall with that window (no glass) and #5 was taken through a door with the wire grid they place to keep people from getting in. It sure was fun. I wish I could have spent more time there. I would love to go in the winter some time.

Thanks. That's information everyone should hear.

Thank you! When you're out seeing the world, you can add the Sierra Mountains in Northern California to your list. It's incredibly beautiful.
