Have been down many trails in the past month, and enjoyed many green wild scenes here in East Tennessee. Here are a few samples.
It's a good stiff climb up to Flint Rock at Holston Mountain, but sure worth it for the clear views of South Holston Lake, of the green valleys, and of the spring green climbing on up Holston high knob.
Buzzard Rock in Greene County is another great place to see the wave of spring green moving on up the mountains.
As is nearby White Rock at Viking Mountain…
Hampton Creek Cove was set aside as a Natural Area to protect a rare bird, but it's also a great place to enjoy looking up towards Yellow Mt Gap and into the Roan Highlands.
And Rocky Fork is especially rich in watery scenes this time of year. Here is a little splash along Flint Creek...
A nice-sized waterfall on a side branch feeding into Flint Creek...
The big falls at Lower Higgins Creek…
And a little splashing spring flowing into Lower Higgins Creek.
Hope you've enjoyed the green scenes from here in NE Tennessee. Thanks for any comments and critique!
