I just got back from a long weekend trip to
Piel Island off the coast of Barrow-in-Furness in Cumbria, North-West England. For a change, I left my Pentax cameras behind and took my Sony A99-based Hasselblad HV instead. The weather was fantastic, though almost-entirely-clear skies weren't great for photography - plus, I couldn't haul my backside out of bed early enough, nor stay out of the island's Inn late enough to make the best of the light!
, so what started off as a photography trip became a relaxing break with a few hurried moments of travel snapshots for good measure
That said, here are a handful of those snapshots...
#1 Piel Castle
#2 The Ship Inn (where I stayed)
#3 Piel Ferry arriving at the island
#4 Man slipping on the submerged jetty
#5 Another part of Piel Castle
