Even a man who is pure in heart, and says his prayers by night;
May become a wolf when the Wolfbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright.

Okay if I took this picture, the moon would a quarter of the size. Did you do any post editing to blow up the moon?

You can control the relative size of the moon through focal length (angle of view) and cropping. For a larger moon, you use a telephoto, and figure out a way to get your subject and the moon in the same frame.

But the moon can be pretty bright, so then you also have to make sure your subject has sufficient lighting so the moon does not get blown out.

Thanks for your comments. Yes, it was kind of a fun shot, but that's not actually "the moon."

This was shot inside in my little home-made studio in my back room. There's a black backdrop, with a stool under it. I put an old piece of hardened wood that used to be a terrarium decoration on the stool. Then, I printed a photo of the full moon that I took years ago (just the moon against the black sky) and taped it to the backdrop. Had some lighting from the upper-left and a little from above, and used spot exposure to make the background disappear in the shot which made the edges of the moon photo disappear. Played around with exposure and shutter speed until I got what I wanted and this is the result.
