And here we can't even get a night without clouds or rain.... I'm currently envious of that clear sky.

This certainly does a good job of showing off the astrotracer {getting both stars and town lights} and the K-1's low-light capabilities

Excellent capture. And while I'd usually lament light domes like that in astrophotos, they seem to add some interesting horizon definition to this picture.

Nice work Richard.

I am about 50 miles from Seattle, but can still get the milky way, but it is not so bright and colorful. When we were in Death Valley last year I went out and tried my hand at wide field astrophotography. The moon was coming up around 10 or 11, so again, I missed out, but it was still many times better than what I get at home.

Nice shot. I am hoping to see a lot more astro images with the K1. It seems to me the camera was made for images of the night sky...
