We were looking for som sold building to photograph. This one ended up being first on the list. A former residence, now the home of the Niagara parks Commission.

Outside

Much of the building is Parks Commission offices, but a few of the ground floor rooms can be viewed by the public,

The treaty that ended the Boxer Rebellion and brought peace to China was signed on this table in 1901.

And the back of the building.

We imported boatloads of Scottish stone masons at on point in our history. I guess they just did what they knew how to do.

Hey, who you calling old? I'll take you on, hopping on one foot, one hand tied behind my back, bring it on. Old schmold.

That's nothing, I can do that with two hands tied at the front, chew gum and whistle at the same time.

Cheers

They built things out of stone. According to one obnoxious Brit historian, stone buildings are the hallmark of civilization. He must have been a Scot.
