Tonight's astrotracer shots.
Lens: Samyang 10mm f/2.8 Camera: Pentax K-3II Photo Location: Prince Gallitzin State Park, Fallentimber, PA 16639

The 3 best shots I got tonight using astrotracer.

With all the rain making it extra humid out, and the temperature dropping, I was a bit hard pressed to try to keep the lens de-fogged.

Excellent results despite the adverse weather conditions. Especially like the depth of #3.

Great shots! Really like the lake and hills in the frames. to keep the lens dry, try strapping hand warmers around it with rubber bands, really works well for me.

I had better luck tonight in terms of humidity. No lens fogging. The fish weren't biting on anything, and we're in the middle of a cold snap... a humid one (goes right into the bones when you have arthritis). I didn't stay out long tonight. These rapid temp. shifts don't give me enough time to acclimate. Add to that the knotted muscle in my back from sleeping poorly last night, and you can see why I didn't feel like being out all night. Having to be at work tomorrow had no bearing on the decision.

Neat!
Thank you!
{I've never seen any actual examples of using the astrotracer before}

good looking shots! I really like the astrotracer on the k-3ii.......a lot easier and consistent to use than the o-gps-1 & k-50

Nice shots.What shutter speed & ISO were you using? The Samyang 10mm f/2.8 seems like a nice lens for Milky Way shots..

I was using the astrotracer gps function in bulb mode all shots are 100+ seconds duration. ISO varied, but i believe I was using 400.
