I went to Operation Air Support(annual airshow) at Leeuwarden Airbase last friday. Stars of this show were the first 2 F-35A Lightning II's from the Royal Netherlands Air Force. Here some shots:

That F-35 is a beautiful aircraft.

Too bad it's only function is to blow the hell out of stuff.

I thought it's main function was expensive thrills for Air Force pilots.

But with all the news about Russia re-arming, who knows.
