3 Portraits, Mixed Flash with Natural Light
Lens: DA 18-55 AL WR Camera: K7 Photo Location: Surrey, United Kingdom ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/60s Aperture: F6.7

I managed to coax 'the grumpy one' into a good mood, long enough at least to fire off a few frames using my off-camera flashes set up in the garden .....

The details of the set-up can be seen in this thread here .... https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/125-flashes-lighting-studio/322038-garden...eless-hss.html ... although for these shots here the light levels were lower, so no HSS was needed.

Ambient light was underexposed by around 1 stop, and the main light was the Cactus RF60 in a softbox to the subjects right, and there was a Pentax AF-540FGZ with a Gary Fong Powersnoot behind to the left, giving some back rim effect. The main flash head had a 1/4 CTO gel on to warm up the skin against the daylight white balance setting. The last shot here has a white balance fine tuned towards warmer.

Nice to see people are still shooting with the K7. I've still got mine, but have not used it in ages. Nice portraits.

Thankyou. . The K7 has served me well for over 4 and a half years .. Hasn't missed a beat and there's around 55,000 clicks on it. I'm an unashamedly proud budget conscious Pentaxian, and the K7 has contributed a lot to the great value I get from my system.

That's true, but I wish she'd stay still for longer so I could get more consistent lighting between shots .
