In the 1840�s the lure of gold beckoned adventurous souls to make the arduous journey west over Echo Summit and down the Highway 50 corridor. To preserve this vital aspect of California�s history, men, women and children in authentic wagons recreate the journey of these intrepid emigrants. The caravan of horses and wagons forming the �Wagon Train� starts in Zephyr Cove Nevada and lumbers down Highway 50 for a week-long trek that culminates in Placerville.This was shot in Pollock Pines Ca. This is an annual event every June.
