Getting ready for sleep
Lens: Sigma 17-50 Camera: k-3 II ISO: 320 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F5.6

I made this image from two. Astrotracer for stars, and non astrotracer for tents and trees. You can see botched and reconstructed edges of trees where it meets the sky. Made it in about 20minutes because I didn't have time for better post processing (this is also my first attempt at merging tracked and non tracked images).

But none the less it was a beautiful 1 night trip and sleep on the banks of river Mrežnica in Croatia. Orange sky is not a sunset, it's a nearby city of Karlovac, light pollution was enhanced by very humid air that night (it rained heavily for 2-3 days before that night)

Brilliant! I love this. Did you use flash to illuminate the trees or is it natural?

No, I used my head lamp . first two attempts were bad because of the foggy/humid air, so for this shot I moved more to the right and illuminated the trees from an angle and avoiding hazed result.

Nice. But why would you want to sleep when there is that sky to photograph?

Half an hour later, moon was up and shining like sun, plus the fog, so no sky to photograph.

I don't think the soft edges around the trees take much away from the photography. Very well done!

Outstanding results! Looks very natural, not like an obvious composite. Very well done.
