Badlands/Black hills portion of our Western trip
Lens: 18-135 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: South Dakota/Wyoming
Posted By: markvc, 07-02-2016, 10:53 AM

A few images from the first part of our Western trip. The lighting and scenery were not as inspiring as the Tetons, but we enjoyed the area even though it was 102 the day we were in the Badlands. At least we had a nice sunset. Sylvan Lake in Custer Park was a great place to hike, and while Scenic SD is still on the map, we saw no signs of life there. The evening ceremony at Mt Rushmore was impressive. We were at Devils Tower around noon, so the light was really harsh, but the schedule did not allow more time there.

Thanks for sharing the rest of your tour. That temperature can be a real killer though. See you made it to the lighting ceremony at Mt. Rushmore. Enjoyed the series.

Nice shots. Coincidentally I just got a bunch of canvas prints hung up this weekend of my vacation through there. You had better sky but I had lower temps :-)
