Unholy Alliances

Well what can I say, I turned my back on these "Ladies" for just a moment... and look what happened.

The shame of it... both of you... my newly acquired "Street Lady" (SMC Pentax-A 28mm F2.8) and my old faithful “Friendly Lady” (SMC Pentax-A 24mm F2.8), I think I know who led who astray here.

Hello Kerrowdown

I see you have got both a 24mm and a 28mm, very close in focal length. Why don't you sell one of them to me? :-)

Are you sure, running harem takes up a lot of time and is often full of trouble, as demonstrated here.

I think you are right, besides I am risking more trouble with my wife.

That's never a good position to put oneself in.

I do like that photo of two of your fine lenses, both Pentax but with the interesting addition of alien lens hoods, namely Nikon and Olympus, although both those 'hoods' add to the well experienced look of the lenses.

I have a few non Pentax lenses, I really like the look of. My medium format, Mamiya-Sekor 65 wide angle, 80 normal and 180 Super Telephoto 180 lenses. The twin lens look, is highly unusual these days, particularly with the lens hoods affixed. I also like my little collapsible Leitz Elmar 50mm F 3.5. Unfortunately all I have is an old binocular lens cover for the Elmar, as the original was long gone, even before I got this wonderful little, albeit ancient lens.

A quick trip yesterday to the only "proper" camera shop around for about 200 miles, picked up both lens hoods second hand in minutes for very little money.

Lets be honest... a lens hood is a lens hood, both of these will do their respective jobs just fine, for a seasoned photog like myself.

I don't disagree with you.

I have a newer Nikon strap (yellow name on the strap) for my old (32 years old) Pentax binoculars. The Nikon strap I picked up for a little over $ 2 CAD at a local store and it is much more comfortable than my old worn out Pentax strap. The Nikon strap looked new. Back in the film days, I got a deal on three new Leica camera straps. Put them on my Yashicamat TLR and two of my Pentax bodies, an ES ll and a S1a.

Instantly you'd be taking better pictures then... with whichever camera they were fitted onto.

Aye and they cost literally buttons.

Gives quite a seasoned "around the block" look to my "Ladies". but don't tell 'em I said so.

K.D. I would say you are a very lucky guy having these two beauties to play with.

Nice photography. Thanks for sharing.
