Mars through the breach
Lens: Samyang 14mm
Posted By: DeadJohn, 07-04-2016, 06:54 PM

A dam in north-central Pennsylvania collapsed over 100 years ago, flooding the town and killing 78 people. The area is now a park. Here you can see Mars, aka "the red planet", just above a tree in the center of the image. I lit the dam ruins with a red light.

Fantastic shot. A great example of how shots can be made as well as found.

Austin, PA.

Austin was a minor dam failure compared to Johnstown. 78 vs approx 2208 deaths.

I just remember reading the reader's digest version of "The Johnstown Flood" and it freaked me out. I thought that the whole dam there washed away, that is why I asked.
