Peter Hurley Style Portrait
Posted By: Kerrowdown, 07-05-2016, 09:20 AM

A Lady of style... not to be confused with my "Ladies", albeit a "Duchess" was involved in the making of this image.

Or as compliant as her, no tantrums, no hissy fits, no strange prima donna requirements, no make up or hair styling issues, just took it all in her stride... so to speak.

BTW I couldn't get her to do the "squinch" but got a good jaw line going on.

Don't get me wrong. Photography looks like a great job. I'm allergic to marketing terms. Organic, gmo-free and so on have done a lot of damage to the reputation of agriculture painting implicitly all those who do not market a "label" as polluters or vile poisonners.
Youre Lady might have done the "squinch" thing if you had gone trought the trouble of getting a cow-dresser. The dairy guys have those here to get them pretty for farm shows. They are pretty serious about their buisness, clippers and hairspray and all.

When I was a youngster, I belonged to a 4-H Beef Club and we spent a lot of time grooming our young steers for the district show and sale. Special brushes, shaving cream or blueing to make the white parts whiter, linseed oil to give the hide a nice sheen and so on. Then we paraded our steer for a showmanship competition and at the end of the day, sold the animal we had been feeding, grooming and training for nine months to the highest bidder.

I wouldn't do that to her, just look at those lashes... that's just good enough for me.

Aye that's a business, this Lady for now... is just happily chewing her way through the top field with her pals.

Aye... but your beast came from these shores originally too, if she's off Aberdeen Angus stock.

Wonderful hair style...wonder how much a 'do' like that would cost at a upscale London or New York hair salon.
