Great shot! And that kind of sailing is certainly scarier than it looks.

Aye but for me, that's what true sailings all about, you, the vessel and the elements.

I can imagine it would have got a bit lively later on, the way the weather was shaping up.

Good shot!
I've been trying to talk my sailor friend into taking me out on his sometime soon. Similar type of boat I think.

my uncle had a smallish, 30ft or so cabin cruiser? I was in california and he, my dad and myself went to catalina island for the night, well, no room in the harbor, so we anchored basically in open water, miserable night, and on way back in the morn I was told, we're tired and and going below for a nap, keep it pointed that way and wake me when ya see land. I was 13 or so, couldn't see over the bouncing of the bow, etc, I didn't enjoy it hahahaha

Did a lot of that kind of sailing when I was younger, but I've never done that kind of photographing, no matter how hard I've tried.

From your recounting of this tale I can certainly understand why.

Beautiful photography. Awesome looking vessel. It seems the right size that if you wanted to, you could crew it yourself. However, nothing wrong with having another pair of hands onboard.

Thanks very much for sharing.

For a minute there I thought Dingy was directed at me then I realized I prefer dry land and wasn't there so we're good
