When I couldn't find Nicholas & cupic yesterday, I headed out to La Perouse. Love the rock colours & formations on the shoreline there. The power of wind and water.

Born and raised in Maroubra, I spent much of my childhood on the beaches of the area.

AAhhh after we where finished At the airport I ended up of southern cross BLv and when I drove back I nearly went to La Perouse but ... aah well l anyway great shots should have gone with my gut instincts .

I know the feeling Kris lucky I found the macca/BP station pity I couldnt cross 6 lanes to get back home ,but took the scenic drive and bump into the pilgrims hundreds of em LOL

Small world Ash - I worked at Botany for several years!

Nice shots Kris - love the low down landscape one - wonderful angle and the texture of the rocks.

Yeh... I wish they noted on UBD's and Where is! that they put a security gate on Kyeemagh Ave. It'll teach me to not leave contact numbers at home next time

The trick is to go under the runway then turn right at Foreshore Drive. Going the other way, left at the old control tower. That road then goes under General Holmes Drive. I did that round trip about 5 times before giving up

Those rocks are soooo cool. They reminded me of Shelob's Lair (the big spider from Lord of the Rings for those who don't know).
