At 24 acres, 12 foot depth and in the middle of Reno, Nevada, shark aren't a serious concern in Virginia lake.









Seagulls, however, can be a problem. Particularly for a fresh washed car.

Timing is everything. (Burst mode helps)




And someone really need to rethink this rule of thirds thing...

I have seen gulls act similarly when they are dealing with an already caught fish. Nice pictures.

I'm glad you enjoyed the images, everyone. The gull seemed to be fishing. It would scan the water and then dive. I didn't see it actually catch anything, but it wasn't for lack of trying.
