I photographed this guy on a brutally hot day in Coney Island. Playing around with black and white and a little tweaking in PP.

I like how you've isolated the cyclist via selective focus and the B&W is great for this photo.

I can sympathize with this guy - I ride my bike 60 or more miles a week here in SE Texas where "brutally hot" is the norm, not the exception.

Great shot.

Thanks! In fact I had ridden my bike down to Coney that day, so I was feeling this guy's pain.

What they said about focus isolation. Dude pops to the first line of the narrative. Riding in jeans in brutal heat. He's a tough one. lol

Also woot cycling! I don't get as many miles as I used to due to the steep mountain trails and roads, man eating chiggers and deadly tics, and natural smog/ragweed and injuries that have all combined to knock me from the occasional low end mtb podium to a team old fat and slow occasional driveway visitor. See me in my heyday at Vabikenut.blogspot.com - warning, I was never pretty. :P The photo's are by family members that used to come along to events for the photo ops.
