Portrait of Our Cat
Posted By: reval8r, 07-20-2008, 08:51 PM

I’ve been wanting to do a portrait of our family cat for a few months now, but he’s been less than corporative. My mother came to visit us this weekend and I wanted a portrait of her also, so I was setting up a make-shift studio in the den. As I was setting things up, I noticed our cat Boris had taken a seat on the posing stool. I was able to sneak over to the camera and get 8 images of him before he became his usual camera shy self.

It's not often a cat cooperates with you

Very nice shot. You can't get a better pose than that one.

Pure cuteness there! Cats do what you want when they want. Reminds me of this one I got 2 weeks back. Goshkin, the owner of McCarthy's Bar in Dingle, wouldn't stay still. But then he jumped on a stool to pose for a few moments. There was no light but the FA43 did ok.

Cats on stools thread anyone?

Very nice! Photographing cats is an exercise in patience. You have to be ready with the camera when they decide it is time to pose.
