A still quiet morning, looking towards perhaps a fine day.

On a morning like that I'd be taking a coat and umbrella.
That's rain in my neck of the woods!

This winter we have had only a day or two with any sun.
Most days start like kd's and stay that way; most unusual for here.

Aye, but we Scots are built waterproof, as it's all we get around here.

I'm digging this one, too--amazing that you're already into "signs of autumn" mode, though, while we've got another two months at least where 35 degree days will be fairly common. It is majorette camp week on campus, though, which of course helps us mark the seasons...

Thank you, one of my more "artsy" moments.

A 35 degree day here would be good, just one, that would be a first.

No just a corner of the Kerrowdown Estate.

An unkempt corner of the Kerrowdown Estate.

Where the stags and foxes run free, no doubt.

P.S. Great composition & exposure. I like the perfect mix of in-focus & out-of-focus grasses of various types and the framing by the background cloud -- a forbidding windswept tableau.

It didn't improve any, as the day went on either.

Pentaxians come with built-in weather resistance, no?

Will a daily diet of haggis waterproof the rest of us?

I think he meant degrees Celsius - way out of you league, kd.
(We all know you are glad when it gets up to 35F)

I'm guessing that may be the case...

I'd best convert that for all the Celsius orientated folk, that's 1.6667°C, considered here to be positively balmy.

Now there was a time when the old Kerrowdown operated under daily conditions of 58°C or 136°F, but you've guessed... it wasn't Scotland.
