shutter speed and waterfall
Posted By: Nesster, 07-21-2008, 06:19 AM

Here are 3 pics of Dingmans Falls, PA, in the Delaware Water Gap. All three are with the SMC-A 28/2.8 and the same f/stop, but with different shutter speeds (1/100, 1/30, 1/2) achieved by the use or non use of 3xND + circular polarizer.

Just illustrative of the effects of shutter speed on running water.

Cool shots! I had the SMC-A 28mm and I didn't use it enough (I'm too lazy for manual focus) but it did produce nice shots when I took it out.

It's been years since I've been to the Delaware Water Gap. I think the last time was for a "pre-orientation" outing right before I started college in 1995. Used to go there on trips all the time as a kid though.

I did drive up 209 on the way to Milford a couple of times back in 2006.

Where in NJ are you from? I grew up in South Brunswick/Monmouth Junction (near Princeton)
