Streets Choice of 2

I took this shot on two different days to see if my perspective changed.
I'll be interested to know who prefer's which......

definitely the second. The chair provides a focal point and does not have the bright light spot the first one has, which for me, is a big distraction to the mood of the image.

you are right about the bright light, but I do like the bleach bypass tones
Maybe a combination of the two would have been the correct Picture.

I agree, the second one is better. The light in the first one is distracting and washes out the colors too. I wonder what the second one would look like with the chair in focus instead... but I still like it as is!

It's the second image for me too, but I think I would have pushed the point focus back into about a third of the way in... around or on the chair.

This is interesting. If you look at No 2 in its entirety, then the tree in focus (and the knot) works for a good anchor point with the eye wanting to go deeper but can't because of the softness of the chairs, which forces the eye BACK to the rope, knot and tree. I kinda like that!
