Another few from the backyard.

Sandhills Hornet. In case anyone is wondering about the background, the hornet was sitting on an overturned kayak.


He waited long enough so that I could take his portrait.


Than along came this tiny beetle (about 4 mm in length)


And this this little unidentified fly

... and I also still use the DIY diffusor Rense suggested some years ago

Absolutely Amazing, the detail is massive on each one. And may I ask you how you got so close to the hornet without getting stinged!?

Thank you kindly, just lucky I guess, but no, cool damp day and he was just sitting there waiting for some sun.
