Finally figured out the trick of hitting focus with the K135/2.5--make sure your puppy's asleep.

Ha, thanks! Maisie's a 20-pound jackrabbit with razor-sharp puppy teeth still, so catching her on-the-fly has been a challenge, to say the least.

Ah, the puppy teeth! It's so fun getting them all worked up and watching them zip around at full speed, then crash into total puppy sleep.

Ha, thanks for the comments--definitely seems to be a "quantum" thing happening with pups--it's either "buzzsaw" or "ragdoll" with mine.

Lovely pix of a beautiful pup.

Our daughter and her partner last year got a northern (Canada) rescue dog as a pup. Recently, the vet says he appears to be part husky and part greyhound...with a dash of Weimaraner thrown in the mix, which would make sense from his appearance and the area where he is from. Lot's of sled dogs up there, which seem to be hybrids, with husky as the base component. Whatever he is, he's tremendously lovable and always moves at the speed of light and usually his feet seem to be about two feet above ground as he runs.

I know exactly what you mean...the secret to good focus with an over active pup is take pix of them when their sleeping.

Nice photos and she is a great looking dog. I love her eyes ans sharp expression. Looks like she's settled in. That second one is great.

Ha, that sounds like a great pup--you should break out a gimbal head this winter and teach him to make high-speed passes through the snow.

That would be a good idea, very hard to 'freeze' his action in snow.

He's great in the snow, with his long legs he never seems to get too bogged down in snow. He also never seems to get too tired and is always on the lookout to engage in a running competition with any other dog that happens by. He lives to run it seems.

Thanks, Janse--she's a good puppy but teething now...it takes a bit of juggling to keep her from our furniture!
