It's amazing where shopping carts will end up for sure - in a 1,000,000 years from now I think that is all that will be left - cockroaches , shopping carts and of course some styrafoam cups.

Apart from the rather sad story in these shots, they are well done, good composition and sharp.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

I'm thinking about starting a project about garbage that is mixed in with 'nature'. I tried to make these pictures as well shot I could, with sharp focus on the trash, and nature out of focus. I was trying to show that the garbage is such an intrusion that you can't help but to focus on it, to the detriment of being able to enjoy the natural surroundings.

It was interesting to have a well defined purpose when I was shooting, rather than the random shooting that I normally do.

Interesting project alohadave.

the 1st shopping cart is best in my opinion, in nr 3. the reflection in the water forces my attention away from the bits and pieces in the stream. In nr 2 there could be a better seperation of cart from the environment.

Trash and nature, or in nature is interesting. It plays on a seperation of man (culture) and the environment. As an Anthropologist this is on of my favourite topics.

Looking forward to seeing more trash pictures :-)

Regards
