Rainbow Arch Bridge
Lens: DA*16-50 Camera: K3 Photo Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan

The weather has been very uncooperative lately. Unbearably hot and just gloomy grey skies. With a few hours left in the day on Sunday I decided to get for a bit. I've been wanting to photograph thus bridge for long time. Even though the skies were gloomy I decided to investigate the area out. I hope to get back when the weather and lighting is better. Hopefully this fall during the colors.

K3 and DA*16-50.
All are 5 shot HDR's handheld, processed in Photomatix Pro, and finalized in Lightroom 5.

I thought the last one would look nice in BW.

The bridge is a historic site and great efforts have gone into restoring and preserving it.

I really like the shot with the road, in color. Very nice!

I like that the 1st four images give an overgrown, unused feel to the bridge to me. Then the 5th photograph showing a day to day bridge in use was a great
surprise. Excellent series Michael IMO.

Thank you Adam, that one is my favorite too. I had to dodge traffic for that one. Despite the serene look it is actually a very heavily traveled bridge.

Thank you, when I got there is was very surprised to see how overgrown everything was. It was the first time I ever hiked down to throw creek bed.
