Fun at The Dam
Lens: Pentax 150-450 Camera: K-3 II Photo Location: Conowingo, MD ISO: 640 Shutter Speed: 1/3200s Aperture: F7.1

My first experience with Pentax camera/ Lens.....Very pleased!!!

I have been with Nikon, then Canon, then back to Nikon.....With some Sony trials mixed in......I do Storm Chasing and Astrophotography......So, naturally I wanted to give Pentax a go.....My biggest concerns being that the auto focus would not allow me to do the wildlife shots, especially birds in flight that I could do with say Canon or Nikon......Needless to say, the action at the dam was slow, very hot day.....But the pictures in focus were impressive and the color and quality, also very good......I might be hooked

A great action series. I have seen many wonderful photographs with your set up, so you should be ready to feel well rewarded with your efforts.

Many thanks for uploading.

wonderful shots and action. love seeing a series like that. I had entertained switching to canon for wildlife a while back, but with my new lens the AF is much better, sure I miss a few, but that's rather expected in flight.
But you got some great shots. The Pentax clarity cant be beat.

Hi Ted. Excellent series of photographs. Very well taken. Being a storm chaser, the weather sealing with Pentax must be a real blessing. I would very much like to see some of your storm images here on the forums.

Thanks dewolf......The clarity was really something else....I was really impressed when comparing to previous shots made with Nikon D750, D7200 and Canon 7D Mkii.......Like you said....May miss shot or two, but in this particular series for example, 32 shots.....missed just two out of focus....Raw.
