I love it.

A classic object for astrophotography, well done.

Excellent example. What 300mm lens did you use?

Thats amazing! Imagine that not long ago that kind of image needed an observatory!

Is that 300mm + crop or is 300mm really enough to get that close?

Beautiful! And that astrotracer seems to be pretty awesome. Wouldn't have thought that at 300mm it can keep up for 80s...

Great. I have the same lens and a k-3ii so all I need should be a clear sky to try and reproduce

How did you even find it? At 450mm it should be all but a tiny dot far away, and I imagine looking through the lens you'll see black, considering that you photographed for 80s at high ISO...

I use an android app called Stellarium.
Then with the Live View at 70mm i center the galaxy. At 70mm Andromeda is visible.

The big problem is the quality of this lens, the best is around f/8,0 so you must use High Iso, here it's 12800 !

With the K-1 and the setting of the lcd for the night it's really easy, and better than on my K-3.

I only use LiveView, but :

1) Focus Peaking must be OFF on the K1

2) Select ok for a 10x Zoom, to make the focus on a bright star
